Category 6 runs 1 Gb Ethernet over 100 m and 10 Gb over shorter links (up to about 55 m), a cost-effective choice for desks, CCTV and general office networks. U/UTP has no screen: it is the lightest and fastest to install, best for offices and homes away from heavy electrical noise. The black PE outer jacket is UV and moisture resistant for outdoor ducts, external walls and runs between buildings; it is not for indoor risers where low-smoke cable is required.
